The art direction of Lonestartime, also thanks to the great support of the Pordenone Fair in co-operation with the excellent team of Country Christmas 2009, made possible the set up of an incredible line-up event, which will be fascinating all passionate country music and american roots rock fans!

The opening is taking place at the Fulmicotone, whereas on Saturday 5th December, for the first time there will be an exceptional event for Italy and extraordinarily as European Premiere: two superstars Rick Trevino, Grammy-winner and famous protagonist of the American Country Music and the wild and terrific Kevin Fowler, undisputed king of the Honky-Tonk made in Texas and new contemporary legend !!!

RICK TREVINO
Rick Trevino, born in Houston (Texas), is one of the key exponents of country music of the 90s, a time remembered as the golden-age of modern country, when the link with tradition was very strong and the production of country music proposals had not been yet affected by the commercialising aspect . Trevino’s story, who was hired by a talent scout, held back by bad weather in a music club in Austin, resembles those of the best fairy tales: he made his debut in 1993 with Columbia / Sony Records by placing soon, with his first 4 albums, 15 singles in the Billboard Charts and by winning the first award with “Running Out Of Reasons To Run” in 1997. The soaring sales made him win more than one gold disc.
Trevino’s artistic assertiveness and his continuous tendency to reinvent himself without accepting any kind of compromise gained him the participation to the project “Los Super Seven, a group of mega superstars such as Los Lobos, Freddy Fender, Joe Ely, Flaco Jimenez. With this project in 1999 Rick won a prestigious Grammy Award.
The current line-up of Los Rick Trevino is composed by Super Seven accompanied by Lyle Lovett, Rodney Crowell and his friend and producer Raul Malo, leader of the famous band Mavericks. Thanks to this connection he signed a new contract with Warner Bros, with whom he is currently working on new albums. It’s an easy guess, this is definitely a first-class group, and it will be absolutely easy to be enchanted by Trevino’s show where the sounds of pure country-music meet the hot Tex-Mex turns, for sure a real Fiesta! If you’re ready for a suggestive fantastic ride (or for a good two-step!) on the border between Texas and Mexico, then we’re off!
Trevino will be for the very first time Italy and will present his new work, a single coming out soon, which have been recorded with the support of the legendary Los Lobos!
KEVIN FOWLER
It’s easy to talk about Kevin Fowler, basically with his sharp showman talent, he will be doing all right alone: Kevin Fowler can be considered a “honky-tonk-joint specimen”, invigorated and extremely captivating, not an uncommon specimen in Texas, here we are definitely talking about a first class champion, a country-rebel with a real rocker’s heart! Maestros like Johnny Cash and Merle Haggard taught him how to sing, to duet in his records with iconic names like George Jones & Willie Nelson.
He churns out his work with Clint Black’s and Mark Chesnutt’s brand name and Sammy Kershaw produce his songs! Over the years Kevin Fowler songs have become real anthems for the Texan people who know every words by heart making each concert a true mass celebration!
Fowler is a wonder of nature and we are sure that he will turn the entire pavilion no. 5 of the Fiera di Pordenone into Italy’s largest, crazy and entertaining honky-tonk show!
Kewin Fowler as well as Rick Treviso will be in Italy for the very first time and they will present for the occasion his forthcoming new artwork, to be launched with the single of a rather significant title “beer season! See you at the bar!

MATT SKINNER & DUB MILLER
After his exhilarating success in Italy with their hurly-burly show last summer, upon strong demand, Matt Skinner & Dub Miller are back! And they are back with the firm intention to put the hall number 5 of the Country Christmas 2009 “literally on fire” and their success is guaranteed!
Matt Skinner is a guitarist, a songwriter who has collaborated with many of the biggest names in Austin (from Asleep At The Wheels to Ryan Bingham, jut to name two at random!)
He comes to Italy to present his latest work recently released: “Live At Stone Cringe, vol.1″,
a spectacular collection of songs that confirm him to be a great storyteller and a charismatic performer above average! A skilled guitarist with a fascinating voice! Dub Miller was one of the most important songwriters and fundamentalists of the Texas Music Revolution along with fellow singers like Pat Green, Cory Morrow and Jack Ingram, author of the Texan anthem “Livin’On Lonestar Time”.
It is easy to recognize the leading role in the origin of the Italian movement Lonestartime.com.
The new songs, still unpublished, are among the most beautiful masterpieces we have ever heard, this year. With his voice of a seasoned cowboy he will hit you straight into your heart and manage to put it somehow “out of order”!
Matt and Dub are two breathtaking performers and authentic preachers of the best traditional American music, to count fearless among the music of Townes Van Zandt and Hank Williams!
The Texan duo will be supported by the amazing all-stars band where the name of ADAM ODOR stands out, the bass player known also as the sound engineer working with people like Willie Nelson, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Dixie Chicks and many others!
